Mondays & Tuesdays | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Tanaka Farms
Wednesdays | 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Thursdays | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay is $25/Hour

Farm School OC is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Assistant Teacher to join our growing outdoor education program for children ages 3.5 to 7 years old. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children, enjoys the outdoors, and is passionate about hands-on learning experiences centered around farming, nature, animals, and healthy living.

We are currently open to hiring either:

  • One teacher for both locations, or

  • Two separate teachers — one for our River Street Ranch program and one for our Tanaka Farms program.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Teacher during daily farm school classes and activities

  • Assist with hands-on learning experiences, crafts, sensory play, gardening, animal interactions, storytime, and outdoor exploration

  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for students

  • Assist with classroom setup, organization, and cleanup

  • Engage positively with children and families throughout the program

  • Supervise and support students during outdoor activities and transitions

  • Work collaboratively with fellow staff members and farm partners

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children ages 3–7 preferred

  • Positive, upbeat, and team-oriented attitude

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Comfortable around farm animals and outdoor farm environments

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative

  • Passion for early childhood education, nature-based learning, farming, and healthy living

  • Ability to support lead teachers and adapt in a fast-paced outdoor classroom setting

Caregiver & Me Teacher

Farm School OC is seeking a warm, engaging, and dependable Caregiver & Me Teacher to join our team at beautiful Tanaka Farms. This position is perfect for someone who loves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children and enjoys creating joyful, hands-on learning experiences in an outdoor farm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help create a welcoming, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for both children and caregivers

  • Assist with daily classroom setup and cleanup

  • Support hands-on farm activities, sensory play, and nature-based learning experiences

  • Comfortably work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Interact safely and positively around farm animals and farm environments

  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff members

    Qualifications

    Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children preferred

  • Comfortable singing simple children’s songs and leading group activities

  • Positive, patient, and energetic personality

Farm School SD is seeking an experienced, organized, and passionate lead teacher to oversee our outdoor farm school program for children ages 3.5 to 7 years old. This role is perfect for an educator who loves working with children in nature-based settings and is excited to lead engaging, hands-on learning experiences focused on farming, animals, environmental education, and healthy living.

Our lead teacher plays an essential role in creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment while helping bring our award-winning Farm School curriculum to life each week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily outdoor farm school classes and activities

  • Prepare weekly lessons and ensure all materials and activities are organized in advance

  • Purchase and organize classroom and activity supplies as needed

  • Follow and implement our award-winning Farm School curriculum

  • Create engaging hands-on learning experiences including gardening, animal interactions, crafts, sensory activities, storytime, nature exploration, and healthy food education

  • Track student attendance and maintain classroom organization

  • Communicate professionally and warmly with families when needed

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Assist with setup, cleanup, and daily program operations

  • Comfortably work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around farm animals
