Each week is a new week on the farm!
While the animals, activities, and fun may change from week to week, the lesson plan will remain the same throughout each individual week.

Mondays & Tuesdays at River Street Ranch in San Juan Capistrano
10:30am to 1:30pm Daily
Wednesdays & Thursdays at Fox Point Farms In Encinitas
10:00am to 1:00pm
Wednesdays & Thursdays at Tanaka Farms in Irvine
10:00am to 1:00pm
All students must be fully potty-trained
$50 Annual registration fee to cover uniform & supplies

What is Farm School OC?
Farm School OC is a one-of-a-kind experience for children ages 15 months to 12 years of age with classes available at River Street Ranch in San Juan Capistrano and Tanaka Farms in Irvine.
Animals and farming are the heart of our programs.
Our goal at Farm School OC is to nurture empathy and compassion for animals, to model an appreciation for farming, sustainability, buying local, eating healthy and making the world a better place.
At Farm School OC the students feed, brush and interact with the animals daily which teaches empathy and compassion. It also improves a child’s social skills and increases motivation and learning.
As often as possible the students also help prepare fresh food, learn about where it comes from and then get to try it out. When students learn about farming, where food comes from and how it is grown, they are more likely to taste new foods and build a foundation of lifelong healthy eating choices.
Our programs offer a great way for your child to dive into the farm to table lifestyle and learn basic concepts about farming, agriculture, where our food comes from, animal care and compassion and so much more.
Our Farm School OC students also enjoy daily music and art lessons!
We believe that children need to have fun while learning so everyday is fun and educational on the farm!

What Is A Typical Day At Farm School?
10:30-10:45 - Students Arrive & Circle Time
During circle time we welcome everyone by name, sing and tell stories together
10:45 - 11:00 - Playground time
11:00- 11:15 - Snack time
11:15 - 12:15 - Daily lesson
Our daily lesson will include animal education and planting, farming or cooking with seasonal produce.
This is a hands on learning time where the kids get involved and have fun while they learn.
12:15 - 12:30 - Lunch & story time
12:30 - 1:15 - Animal interactions
Each day at Farm School our students spend time brushing, feeding and just being with the animals on the farm. This is always their favorite time of the day!

Times for the example are for River Street Ranch location. For Tanaka Farms and Fox Point Farms, we will be there at 10am to 1pm but daily schedule of events will remain the same.
Farm School OC Attire
At Farm School OC we require our students to be in their Farm School OC uniform daily.
The Farm School OC required annual registration fee of $50 includes your Farm School OC t-shirt and helps cover the cost of some of the additional supplies we use daily such as art supplies, seeds, produce, etc.
On chilly days, parents may layer a long sleeve shirt under the Farm School OC t-shirt but please make sure the Farm School OC/SD logo is visible at all times.
Sweatshirts and hats are also available for purchase.
